WHAT WE OFFER

 
Intensive 3 hour Street Photography workshops in the heart of London seven days a week. There are six workshops to choose from in the morning or afternoon and one evening workshop.
Competitive rates for One-To-One and small groups (maximum 3 participants) tuition that will be centred around your needs and aspirations. This experience is designed to equip your with all the skills necessary to shoot confidently in public places and it will encourage you to go out there and shoot more.
Crammed into 3 hours are bags of practical and theoretical Street Photography knowledge and invaluable skills to practice on the day and take away and apply in your future photographic endeavours.
If, however, you are an experienced Street Tog or live out of town or overseas, our workshops could be geared towards expanding your existing skills and knowledge as well as presenting you with an opportunity to shoot alongside an experienced Street Photographer with the local expertise.
Professional guidance on your Street Photography composition, techniques and camera settings.

In case you would prefer to shoot on the day with one of our cameras, you will receive a 16GB SD card compliments of Street Photo London.

Within a week of completing any of our workshops you can submit 3 of your best shots taken on the day to our email address and you will receive a detailed constructive feedback/critique of your images.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

 
You will acquire a practical knowledge of using a camera in a busy street environment and be able to:
  
  Differentiate between various types of Street Photography and have a practical understanding of what might be your photographic style
  
  Comprehend the importance of essential image components and how to combine these to achieve a successful street composition
  
  Implement creative use of light to see how it affects the resulting image
  
  Utilise the negative space in a high contrast street scene for immediate visual impact
  
  Overcome the fear of photographing people discreetly in public places and learn how to shoot confidently and stay on the right side of the law in a busy city environment
  
  Adopt a positive attitude for street shooting and learn how to interact effectively with members of the public, officials or the representatives of the authorities
  
  Use your camera’s manual controls and achieve great results relying on zone focussing (you are always welcome to use one of ours if your camera does not have these features)
  
  Learn how the professional street togs set up their cameras and what settings they use in various scenarios
  
  Make a conscious choice and either shoot in colour or shoot and convert the resulting images to black and white
  
  Hone your sense of anticipation as a practical tool to achieve subject separation and layering in your photos
  
  Analyse your own street photography work and learn to evaluate complex street images

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

 
When booking your workshop with us, we ask you kindly to check and agree to the terms and conditions we set out on a separate page. The main thing to remember is that your workshop date and time could be changed not earlier that 24 hours of it being scheduled to start, and that the workshop could be cancelled and your money refunded in full not earlier that 48 hours prior to it starting.
We understand that things occasionally go wrong and would appreciate if you let us know that you might be coming late as soon as practically possible. If we hear from you prior to the beginning of the workshop, you instructor would wait at the meeting point and your workshop could be extended by up to 30 minutes maximum. If, however, we will not hear from you either by email, text message or phone within the initial 30 minutes of your workshop, your instructor will record a no-show and your workshop fee will not be refunded.
Please check the weather forecast for the day of your workshop and wear appropriate shoes and clothing. If you are willing to follow the whole of the proposed route, be prepared to walk for up to 3-5 miles (5-8 kilometres).
